Jaipur:<\/strong> The Rajasthan High Court has sought a response from the Education Department on a petition challenging the denial of compassionate appointment to the 100% visually impaired son of a deceased government teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The petition has been filed by Ajay Kumar Ola, son of late teacher Roshan Kumari, who died in 2020. Ajay Kumar had applied for compassionate appointment after his mother\u2019s death, but the department rejected his application on the ground that another son of the family was already employed in government service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The High Court has issued notice to the Education Department and directed it to submit its response within four weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Roshan Kumari, a resident of Badagothri village in Jhunjhunu district, was working as a teacher in the Education Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After her death in 2020, her son Ajay Kumar applied for compassionate appointment under the applicable government rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Education Department rejected the application, citing the fact that another son of Roshan Kumari was already in government employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ajay Kumar subsequently approached the Rajasthan High Court challenging the rejection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Advocates Sanjeev Mahla and Vijay Poonia, appearing for Ajay Kumar, placed his physical and financial circumstances before the High Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The petition stated that Ajay Kumar is 100% visually impaired and lives with his family.
