Jodhpur: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed seven-storey building at the Jodhpur District Court complex.
On his arrival at the District Court premises, CJI Surya Kant was given a guard of honour. Rajasthan High Court Acting Chief Justice Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati welcomed him with bouquets.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Supreme Court Judges Justice Sandeep Mehta and Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Rajasthan High Court Acting Chief Justice Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, along with all the judges of the Rajasthan High Court.

The inauguration of the new seven-storey building is being seen as an important step towards expanding and modernising Jodhpur’s judicial infrastructure.

The building is equipped with modern facilities and is expected to improve both the judicial and administrative functioning of the District Court.

Following the inauguration, a felicitation ceremony is being organised at the Heritage Complex building in honour of CJI Justice Surya Kant.
