Somesh Chandra Sharma Elected President of The Bar Association Jaipur, Election Results 2025 Announced

The results of the The Bar Association Jaipur Elections 2025 have been officially declared, marking a significant moment for one of North India’s largest bar associations. Somesh Chandra Sharma has been elected as the President, defeating his nearest rival Narpat Singh Tanwar by a margin of 488 votes.

The counting of votes was conducted through electronic machines at the Satish Chandra Auditorium located within the Sessions Court, Banipark campus. The elections witnessed an impressive voter turnout of nearly 90 percent, with 4,119 advocates casting their votes out of 4,599 registered voters, reflecting strong participation by the legal fraternity.

In the closely contested race for General Secretary, Umesh Chaudhary secured victory by a narrow margin of 62 votes. The two Vice President positions were won by Monika Abhimanyu Yaduvanshi and Naresh Kumar Sen, with Monika emerging as the top vote-getter among vice-presidential candidates.

Other key office bearers elected include Krishnakant Sharma as Treasurer, Manish Kumar Sharma as Joint Secretary, Rituraj Solanki as Library Secretary, Rajendra Kumar Pahadia as Deputy Treasurer, and Manoj Kumar as Cultural Secretary. Twelve advocates were also elected as members of the Executive Committee.

The election process was overseen by Election Officers Satya­van Singh Shekhawat, Rohitash Bhaskar, and Anil Gupta, who stated that the polls were conducted in a fair, transparent, and well-organized manner. Nearly 250 advocates were deployed for election duties, and the entire process was monitored under CCTV surveillance.

Following the announcement of results, celebrations erupted across the court premises as supporters carried winning candidates on their shoulders and marked the victory with music and dance.

The newly elected President and General Secretary emphasized that their top priorities would include addressing advocates’ welfare issues, resolving stipend-related concerns of junior lawyers, and improving basic facilities within the court premises, including seating arrangements, parking, and drinking water facilities.
